“ Had a fantastic experience. We ordered the Preservation Board for an app to have with our cocktails. The drinks are awesome! Great choices and great presentation/flavor. We also split the filet which was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Definitely love this speakeasy and will be returning with friends. ”
“ Very nice place good drinks. staff is super friendly. Sometimes it's busy so it's better to make a reservation. Been coming here for 7 years and love the atmosphere. Very good music. ”
“ Dockum is a hidden gem! It is my favorite bar (cocktail bar with some bar food and Siena restaurant menu available). We have made it a family tradition, to go there at Christmas. ”
“ I have done the drinking thing in 8 years 9.17.2017 was the last time I was drunk. But I'm a good guy and have some experience at traveling so since I'm retiring in hopefully soon early age. Nothing beats Reno NV vhees steak and Carson City brisket sandwich. Texas salt grass and road house for steaks. And Seattle waterfront for walk on water piers and pike place for seafood and the best dame clam chowder on the planet. Alaska in Anchorage for Chicago Hawaiian deep dish pizza and yes lived in New York and had pizza in Chicago few times drove up living in Akron a lot. For work. And Texas AND KENT WA for some caveman's and tx soul man's BBQ tied last would have to say Jupiter fl at five bar called thirsty turtle for chicken wings. Sucks I never see these again for a long time but hey had to list the best food ever. ”
“ Service was great. Cocktail menu was good. They will also make you off menu items which were great! ”
“ I had a great dinner at Dockum during a business trip to Wichita. Good conversation and cocktails with Louis at the bar, not to mention a solid burger at a great price. Some of the previous reviews mention a service charge that has been removed under new management. I would absolutely recommend Dockum for cocktails or dinner. ”
“ This place is amazing! Truly a hidden gem in Wichita. Located in the basement of the Ambassador hotel, Dockum is a modern day speakeasy. From the moment you step off the elevator and spy the wood door with grated peephole you know you’re in for something special. Their drink menu consist of specialty concoctions they’ve come up with. They are mostly spins of classic drinks but with a twist here and there. You can also order up traditional drinks and beer and/or wine. During my visit I had the Old Smokin’ Cody which was their variation of an Old Fashioned and it was really good. The food menu is limited and it’s mostly finger foods. I had the Preservation Board which is their take on the meat and cheese board. It was very good and very filling. Certainly enough for two to share over drinks. The night I went (Wednesday) it was pretty slow and I was able to easily get a seat at the bar. However, my understanding is, normally, you need a reservation, especially on the weekends. To me Dockum is all about the atmosphere but that atmosphere comes at a cost. You should be prepared to spend a little money as the drinks are not cheap. Don’t get me wrong, you’re getting a premium experience but you’re also paying a premium price. Price aside, if you want a different bar experience look no further than Dockum, I highly recommend it. ”
“ By far my most proudly found hidden gem thus far. I have been here twice now and each time they blew my mind. Everything is amazing from the moment you knock on the wooden door to be let in by their professionalism. Everybody that works there dresses amazing and very professional i love it. To me it’s not really a dine and restaurant place more like something I have called and maybe a light appetizer. But I also have not ordered anything other than the calamari and drinks. It didn’t give me the vibe to order a meal. It was hard to choose a drink because I didn’t really know what anything was on the menu, but I told my waiter that I wanted the cocktail with the best presentation and that’s exactly what he did. ”
